The maximum installation height of the Watts 800 M4 pressure vacuum breaker backflow assembly is 36 inches high. The assembly must be installed a minimum of 12 inches higher than the tallest irrigation head to ensure that it continues to protect the potable water system. The configuration of the existing irrigation sprinkler system meant that a more sophisticated Watts 900 QT reduced pressure zone backflow assembly was required. This type of assembly is installed at a height of between 12 to 18 inches. The irrigation heads can be set at any height & the assembly will still provide complete protection for the potable water supply at either your home or business location.
